Sad

Our neighbor's house was on fire a few minutes ago. The good news is that nobody was home and that another neighbor was able to get their dog to come outside through the doggie door. The sad news is that our neighbor's house was on fire. :( What a sad event right before the holidays.

These aren't neighbors that I know, but it still hits close to home. When I was 13, my friend Jenny's house burned down, and I remember how hard it was on their family. While our neighbor's house is in much better shape than Jenny's house was, this still won't be easy to come back from, and I'm sure there is a lot of smoke damage we can't see from outside.

What a shame.
